BTS Fans in Taiwan Pray to 'Yue Lao' for Concert Tickets

Reuters and CNN reported that 26-year-old Ms. Chuang said, "Honestly, BTS concert tickets are too hard to get, so everyone says praying to Yue Lao is the most effective, because it's a kind of fate. I hope Yue Lao can help me connect with it." Last weekend, a group of K-pop fans filled a table at Longshan Temple in Wanhua, Taipei, with snacks in purple packaging—the representative color of BTS—along with merchandise, seating charts, and wish lists, praying for a glimmer of hope. This trend began on social media a few years ago. Taiwanese K-pop fans believe that Yue Lao can connect people with a red thread, and they hope he can also help them connect with concert seats. A 22-year-old student said, "Sincerity leads to success." The last time BTS performed in Taiwan as a full group was in 2018. The group will perform three shows in Kaohsiung on November 19, 21, and 22.
