The Taiwan stock market rose 219.4 points today, closing at 45,557.31 with a turnover of NT$1.607 trillion. While the three major institutional investors collectively sold a net NT$3.902 billion, foreign investors were net buyers for the third consecutive day. Wistron led the buying with over 90,000 shares, followed by UMC with over 60,000. Innolux saw the largest sell-off, with over 200,000 shares sold. Chen Yi-kuang, Chairman of Fubon Investment Services, stated that the long-term bullish trend for Taiwan stocks remains intact, supported by expanding AI demand and strong TSMC ADR performance. However, he warned that investors should remain cautious about potential volatility in mid-June due to the US Federal Reserve's interest rate meeting and the settlement of Taiwan stock index futures.
