High Temperature Alerts Issued Across Taiwan; Tainan Hits 39.1°C

The Central Weather Administration (CWA) updated its high-temperature information on the afternoon of the 2nd, expanding the scope of the alerts. Chiayi County and Tainan City are under an orange light, indicating a chance of extreme heat reaching 38 degrees Celsius. Additionally, Taipei City, New Taipei City, Changhua County, Nantou County, Yunlin County, Chiayi City, Kaohsiung City, Pingtung County, Hualien County, and Taitung County are under a yellow light, warning of temperatures exceeding 36 degrees Celsius. As of 2:00 PM, Tainan's Yujing District was the hottest at 39.1 degrees, followed by Chiayi County's Zhuqi Township at 37.5 degrees. Other areas, including New Taipei's Xindian District, Taipei City, and Nantou, also recorded temperatures above 36 degrees.
