Yilan Children's Folklore Festival Opens July 4, Featuring 4-Story 'Tree Spirit Waterway'

CNA reporter Wang Chao-yu, Yilan, June 2. The Yilan International Children's Folklore and Folkgame Festival will take place from July 4 to August 16 at the Dongshan River Water Park. This year's theme is 'Forest Experience,' featuring a 4-story high 'Tree Spirit Waterway' that includes high-speed slides, water mazes, and fountains. Acting Yilan County Magistrate Lin Mao-sheng stated that in its 31st year, the festival will transform the park into a living game forest, inviting families to experience immersive games. The Cultural Affairs Bureau noted that the park features attractions like the 'Fantasy Water Secret Realm' and 'Mushroom Fountains.' The 'Starry Sky Tower' will host adventure games, while the lawn area offers exploration activities. Additionally, the festival will feature an exhibition by illustrator Bao Da-shan and performances by over 20 international folk dance troupes.
