The Taipei District Prosecutors Office has indicted Chen Hsiao-wen, former president of the National Chengchi University (PCCU) High School Parent Association, and accountant Ho Chen-yi for defrauding the Ministry of Education's K-12 Education Administration (K-12A) of over NT$1.29 million using falsified project plans. Four K-12A officials—Hong Chen-hui, Wang Hui-ting, Liao Cheng-hui, and Chen Jung-ching—were also indicted for facilitating illegal gains of over NT$230,000 for the association. According to the indictment, the 14th parent association purchased 71 air conditioners in February 2019 but struggled to repay the installments. Chen sought subsidies from the K-12A, claiming various activities. The group defrauded NT$1.6 million but only spent a fraction on actual events, pocketing NT$1,292,075. Furthermore, the officials allegedly instructed the association on how to avoid returning surplus funds, violating their official duties.
