Legislative Yuan Opens Souvenir Center to Promote Parliamentary Awareness

The Legislative Yuan announced today that its souvenir center has begun trial operations. The center features four themed areas: a display and sales area for parliamentary souvenirs, a National Day souvenir display, a local Taiwanese cultural and creative product area, and an interactive photo booth. The goal is to provide a space that integrates culture, education, and exchange, allowing more citizens to understand the parliament from multiple perspectives. The Legislative Yuan stated that the center was established through a public tender process, with Yanzhou Distribution Co., Ltd. winning the three-year operating rights. As the highest legislative body in the country, the Legislative Yuan serves not only as a center for democratic politics but also as a window for domestic and international visitors to learn about Taiwan's democratic development. Similar to parliaments in the US, UK, and Japan, the shop aims to promote democratic ideals and facilitate exchange. The design, themed 'Paper-constructed Democracy, Diverse Inclusion,' incorporates architectural elements of the legislative chamber. Future plans include updating products to serve as cultural carriers for visitors.
