The 114th fiscal year income tax filing deadline passed yesterday. According to the Ministry of Finance, 7.05 million comprehensive income tax returns were filed, a 1% increase from last year. Mobile tax filing reached 2.89 million, an increase of 290,000 (11%), accounting for over 45% of total online filings. Director-General Song Hsiu-ling stated that mobile filing is becoming a mainstream method, and the government encourages citizens to shift away from traditional tax assessment methods toward mobile solutions.
