Central News Agency, Taipei, June 2. Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger stated today that after 14 months in the role, customers and partners are feeling Intel's transformation. He jokingly noted that he is likely the first Intel CEO who speaks Mandarin and can "bond over drinks" with key Taiwanese partners and customers. He emphasized that Taiwan possesses a complete platform from design to manufacturing, and the Taiwanese PC ecosystem plays a crucial role in Intel's development. During his keynote at COMPUTEX, Gelsinger shared his experience of climbing Taipei's Elephant Mountain, conquering 1,000 steps. He also reflected on his 40-year history with Taiwan, praising the creation of "Silicon Island" through the efforts of figures like K.T. Li and TSMC founder Morris Chang. Gelsinger stated that Intel's mission is to remain focused and execute efficiently, delivering results across ecosystems including PCs, edge AI, and data centers.
