Czech Senate President Miloš Vystrčil attended the premiere of the documentary 'I’m Taiwanese' on June 2, stating that his visit to Taiwan six years ago was inspired by the late Speaker Jaroslav Kubera. Vystrčil noted that he was finally able to bring Kubera's family to Taiwan. Kubera's daughter, Vendula Vinšová, said her father always chose not to yield to evil, which is why they are standing here today. The documentary, directed by Dan Svátek, took five years to complete and explores Taiwan's democratic resilience amidst geopolitical pressures. Vystrčil emphasized that defending freedom requires not just courage, but resilience and the ability to innovate and persuade others.
