Manager Lin Yueh-ping stated that Chen has recovered and will be promoted to the first team on the 3rd. This is Chen's retirement year; he has played 5 games in the first team this season with a .125 batting average. He was sent to the minor leagues on May 24 but performed well there, recording 3 hits in 5 at-bats.
