Man Found Dead in Kaohsiung Motel; Police Suspect Drug Overdose

On May 30, a man was found unresponsive in a motel room in Fengshan District, Kaohsiung, and was later pronounced dead at the hospital. Police discovered items including suspected drug-laced coffee bags, a K-tray, and scales at the scene. Prosecutors and forensic experts conducted a re-examination yesterday, suspecting a drug-related death, and are continuing to trace the source of the narcotics. According to the Fengshan Precinct, the man's 33-year-old girlfriend reported the incident after finding him unresponsive. No signs of struggle were found, and all relevant parties have been questioned. Preliminary tests on the substances found at the scene tested positive for Category 3 drugs.
