The Era of AI Agents Arrives; Chen Chi-mai: Kaohsiung is the First City to Apply It

Kaohsiung Mayor Chen Chi-mai attended the NVIDIA GTC Taipei keynote yesterday. Sharing his insights today, Chen pointed out that as we enter the era of AI agents and physical AI, Kaohsiung is the first city to apply these new technologies. Speaking to the media before a municipal meeting, Chen noted that Jensen Huang’s speech revealed the arrival of Agentic AI and Physical AI, and Kaohsiung has been collaborating with NVIDIA for over three years. Under the 'Smart Lighthouse Project,' Kaohsiung is integrating these new tools, such as sensing traffic congestion and linking it to traffic systems and police coordination. Chen emphasized that in the face of global smart city trends, the city must use the latest tools to solve urban problems, and Kaohsiung is leading in both application scale and early adoption.
