K-pop group EXO is scheduled to hold a fan sign event in Kaohsiung this July. The Taiwanese organizer, FANME, issued a statement tonight clarifying that the ticketing process has not yet been released and that all shareholders and funding are from Taiwan. After EXO announced the offline fan sign event, Taiwanese fans discovered the logos of the Chinese Mango TV derivative brand 'Xiaomang' and 'FANME' on the posters. Some netizens also claimed that a Chinese phone number and a Taiwan Compatriot Permit were required to buy tickets. FANME stated on its Facebook page that all its shareholders and funding are from Taiwan, with no foreign capital involved, and that the relevant registry has been verified by lawyers. The statement noted that ticket sales have not yet begun, and claims regarding the need for a Taiwan Compatriot Permit or specific regional phone numbers are untrue.
