Beyblade Arena Stolen from Taichung Game Store; Suspect Arrested

Taichung police received a report on June 2 from a game store on Section 3, Zhongshan Road, Taiping District, stating that a 'Beyblade arena' placed outside the store had been stolen. After reviewing surveillance footage, police identified a man surnamed Jian, in his 60s, as a prime suspect and summoned him for questioning on June 3. Police investigation revealed that Jian had taken the equipment to a recycling center, but was refused because it was classified as non-recyclable plastic. He subsequently discarded it, and it was collected by a garbage truck. The Beyblade arena is valued at approximately NT$10,000 (about US$310). After questioning, Jian was referred to the Taichung District Prosecutors Office on charges of theft under the Criminal Code. (Editor: Li Hengshan) 1150603
