(Central News Agency, Taipei, June 3) World Fitness-KY (World Gym) announced today that its board of directors has resolved to invest in its Thai subsidiary, World Gym (Thailand) Co., Ltd., with 100% ownership, to expand into the Thai market.

World Fitness-KY stated that the World Gym brand has a 48-year history. Since opening its first location at the famous "Muscle Beach" in Los Angeles in 1976, it has expanded to six continents with 271 franchise locations. The brand is also closely associated with bodybuilding celebrities such as veteran American actor Arnold Schwarzenegger.

On October 28, 2024, World Fitness-KY completed the acquisition of World Gym International, securing global operational rights. At that time, the company expressed its intention to enter Thailand, making it the primary location for its Southeast Asian expansion.
