Heavy Rain Warning for Nantou, Hsinchu, and Kaohsiung Mountainous Areas; Heavy Rain Likely from Taipei to Hsinchu

The Central Weather Administration issued a heavy rain warning. Due to the influence of southwesterly winds and the development of afternoon convective clouds, short-duration heavy rainfall is likely. On the 4th, local heavy rain or extremely heavy rain is expected in the mountainous areas of Nantou, Hsinchu, and Kaohsiung. Local heavy rain is also likely from Taipei to Hsinchu, south of Yunlin, and in the eastern mountainous areas. The CWA advises caution against landslides and falling rocks in mountainous areas and flooding in low-lying areas.
