(Central News Agency, reporter Zhang Jianzhong, Hsinchu, June 4) Shareholders expressed concern about whether TSMC would remove TEL from its supplier list after an employee of TEL's subsidiary, Tokyo Electron, was involved in a TSMC 2nm technology leak case. TSMC Chairman and CEO C.C. Wei directly answered 'no' today. He stated that this was not a policy violation by TEL itself but an employee's mistake. Both parties have decided to move forward, as TEL remains a very good supplier. Wei added that TEL has also faced legal sanctions, and the matter ends here. TSMC held its annual shareholders' meeting today. Regarding the 2nm leak case, the Intellectual Property and Commercial Court sentenced TEL's subsidiary Tokyo Electron to a fine of NT$150 million, a 3-year suspended sentence, payment of NT$100 million to TSMC, and payment of NT$50 million to the public treasury.
