(Central News Agency reporter He Xiuling, Taipei, 3rd) Lin Dongqing, Chairman of major health supplement manufacturer DaYan Biotech, stated that the company will continue to strengthen its dual-market operations in Taiwan and Japan, and plans to launch more than 10 new products. It will also deepen its overseas布局, introducing health foods to the Australian market and planning a wellness village project to expand its health industry footprint.
DaYan Biotech held its shareholder meeting today. This is the first shareholder meeting since the passing of founder Chang Chia-Ming in March of this year, and was chaired for the first time by the newly appointed Chairman Lin Dongqing.
The shareholder meeting passed resolutions including the earnings distribution plan and share buyback. DaYan Biotech's 2025 revenue was NT$1.89 billion, with net profit attributable to the parent company of NT$337 million, both setting new historical highs. Due to the impact of stock split face value changes, earnings per share (EPS) was NT$0.51, but calculated based on the pre-split share count, EPS was approximately NT$5.1. The meeting also approved a cash dividend of NT$0.147 per share for the fourth quarter of 2025.
The company's first-quarter 2025 revenue was NT$463 million, a 38.5% year-on-year increase. Net profit attributable to the parent company was NT$104 million, a 0.6% year-on-year decrease, with EPS of NT$0.13. DaYan Biotech stated that the revenue growth was driven by steady expansion in the Taiwan market, the effectiveness of new product strategies, and international market布局.
Regarding new products, Lin said the company will launch products targeting gout patients and gastroesophageal reflux needs this year. Lutein products will also expand into diverse niche markets. For overseas markets, the company has developed anti-aging capsules and fish oil for the Japanese market, targeting Japan's mature health and anti-aging market demands.
Shareholders raised concerns about DaYan Biotech's plan to invest NT$1.4 billion in a wellness village in Australia. Lin emphasized that this is based on the 'Greater Health' concept. Health foods will also be introduced to the Australian market this year. He noted that Australia's favorable elderly welfare environment has attracted many Taiwanese businesses to invest, and DaYan Biotech is planning the wellness village under the Greater Health concept to meet member needs.
