(Central News Agency, Taipei, June 4) The 2026 'Taiwan Exhibition' at AEON MALL Fukuoka, the largest flagship shopping mall in the Fukuoka region of Japan, opened today. Deputy Minister of Agriculture Hu Chung-I transformed into the chief salesman, introducing high-quality Taiwanese agricultural products such as pineapples to consumers.

The Ministry of Agriculture issued a press release stating that AEON Kyushu is the most important indicator channel for Taiwanese agricultural products in the Kyushu region. Through the annual 'Taiwan Exhibition' event, it has not only successfully built an excellent reputation but also accustomed more and more Japanese families to including Taiwanese fruits on their regular shopping lists.

Hu was invited by the Japanese retail giant 'AEON Kyushu Co., Ltd.' to attend the opening ceremony of the 2026 'Taiwan Exhibition' held at 'AEON MALL Fukuoka' to promote Taiwan's premium agricultural and specialty products. A large number of Japanese consumers flocked to the venue.

Hu stated that Japanese consumers have always had extremely high demands for food quality and safety. To ensure Japanese friends can eat with peace of mind, every Taiwanese fruit stocked at AEON Kyushu this time is a top-grade fruit rigorously controlled at the source in Taiwan by the Ministry of Agriculture and comes with a complete production and marketing traceability system.

Hu, acting as the 'Chief Taiwan Agricultural Products Salesman,' enthusiastically introduced the unique flavors of Taiwanese fruits to the Japanese public in fluent Japanese. These included Taiwan pineapples, known for their fine, juicy flesh and edible core; fragrant mangoes, a must-eat in summer; and Taiwan bananas, which have a smooth texture and are very popular among Japanese children.

Hu also promoted Taiwanese rice, pork, grouper, and eel, hoping Japanese consumers would have the opportunity to taste more delicious Taiwanese agricultural products.

AEON Kyushu Co., Ltd. President Yoshimasa Nakagawa, in his address, affirmed the quality of Taiwanese fruits and stated that the company would continue to deepen cooperation and exchanges between the two sides and expand the procurement of Taiwanese agricultural products.
