Today (the 4th), mountainous areas of Kaohsiung City are expected to experience local heavy rain or extremely heavy rain. Furthermore, there is a probability of local heavy rain in Nantou, areas south of Yunlin County, mountainous areas north of Hsinchu City, and the mountainous areas of Hualien and Taitung counties. Precautions should be taken against landslides and falling rocks in mountainous areas, and against flooding in low-lying areas.
