(Central News Agency, Hsinchu, June 4) TSMC held its annual general meeting of shareholders today. Shareholders expressed concern about competitive pressure from Intel and Samsung. TSMC Chairman and President C.C. Wei stated that TSMC has never lacked competitors and will strive to keep winning against them. Regarding the world's richest man, Elon Musk, investing in the Terafab large-scale semiconductor manufacturing plant project, Wei said the conclusion is to 'bless him.'

Regarding Intel's advanced packaging development, TSMC Executive Vice President and Co-Chief Operating Officer Y.J. Mii stated that Intel's advanced packaging is another option, but scaling it up is challenging. TSMC is not afraid of challenges or competition.

Wei said that Mii gave him the same reply, so remember one point: 'not afraid.'

Wei stated that semiconductor demand will always exist. By maintaining world-leading technology development and customer service, TSMC will secure opportunities and expects the coming years to be very good, with continued growth.

He emphasized that competitors have their own products, but in terms of trust, TSMC is number one in the world, enabling sustainable operations and growth. (Editor: Lin Shu-yuan) 1150604
