Mercedes-Benz Taiwan held an opening event for the Taipei leg of the Mercedes-Benz special exhibition celebrating the 140th anniversary of the automobile invention this afternoon. Raine told the media on-site that Mercedes-Benz Taiwan's overall performance in the Taiwanese auto market has been quite stable this year, and Mercedes-Benz is very satisfied with the results for the first five months.
Raine pointed out that Mercedes-Benz's average monthly registrations in Taiwan are approximately 1,600 to 1,700 units.
Looking ahead to the remaining months of the year, Raine expressed optimism that the growth trend will continue and predicted that this year will be a very successful one.
According to statistics, new car registrations in Taiwan in May were 33,000 units, an increase of 5.3% from 31,400 units in April and a 3.7% increase from 31,900 units in the same period of 2024. The cumulative number of new car registrations in Taiwan for the first five months of this year reached 160,900 units, a slight decrease of 2.3% from 164,600 units in the same period of 2024.
