Telecom Signboard Falls in Taipei's East District, Injuring Two Women and Damaging Three Scooters

(Central News Agency, reporter Liu Jianbang, Taipei, June 6) An incident occurred near Section 4, Zhongxiao East Road in Taipei today, where a signboard from a telecom operator fell and injured two people. Upon arrival, police and firefighters found the injured to be two women, approximately 60 and 90 years old, both conscious before being taken to the hospital. Three scooters were also damaged.

Taipei's fire and police departments received a report at 3:33 PM and dispatched personnel to the scene near Section 4, Zhongxiao East Road in Da'an District. They found that a signboard from a Taiwan Mobile store had fallen and struck passersby. The two injured were women.

Police stated that the approximately 60-year-old woman was conscious before being hospitalized, with a fractured right wrist. The approximately 90-year-old woman was also conscious, with minor abrasions on her right arm. Three scooters at the scene sustained minor damage.
