(Central News Agency, Taipei, June 6) The CTBC Brothers and Fubon Guardians game at the Taipei Dome on June 5 was interrupted by a leak inside the stadium as heavy rain fell outside. The Taipei City Sports Bureau stated on June 6 that it has issued a non-compliance notice to the Farglory Dome Company, demanding it complete repairs by June 25.
Taipei City Councilor Chen Yu-cheng (Taiwan People's Party) posted on Facebook on June 5, saying that since the Taipei Dome opened at the end of 2023, councilors from all parties have repeatedly questioned the leak issue in the city council, and the city government has repeatedly promised to fix it. However, the problem persists whenever there is heavy rain outside. Despite this, Farglory's operational performance evaluation still passed with high scores.
Chen said, "The Dome leaked again yesterday. What is frustrating is that over the years, citizens have become accustomed to watching games with umbrellas. It's as if a leak at the Dome is no longer news, and no leak would be the big news. When will this absurd farce end?"
The Taipei City Sports Bureau stated that it has issued a non-compliance notice regarding the reported leak. It has demanded that Farglory Dome Company investigate the cause on-site, properly handle seat changes for affected consumers, and complete the improvements by June 25. Failure to do so will result in penalties according to the contract. (Editor: Li Hengshan) 1150606
