(CNA, Taipei, by reporter Chung Jung-feng, June 8) Passive components giant Yageo announced this afternoon its unaudited consolidated net revenue for May reached NT$15.058 billion, a 7.3% increase from April and a 47.5% increase from the same period in 2025, setting a new single-month record. Cumulative unaudited consolidated revenue for the first five months of this year was NT$67.263 billion, a 27.4% increase compared to the same period last year.

Yageo stated that although May had fewer working days due to holidays in mainland China, continued strong demand from Artificial Intelligence (AI) related applications, coupled with stable growth in both standard and specialty products, drove the continued increase in consolidated revenue from April.

Looking ahead, Yageo noted that significant geopolitical uncertainties persist. However, customer inventory levels currently remain healthy. The company will continue to respond cautiously to future economic conditions and closely monitor the potential impacts of tariff policies and exchange rate changes in various countries.

Yageo previously indicated that its book-to-bill (B/B) ratio reached 1.3, with orders exceeding shipments. The company expects capacity utilization rates to continue to increase, with estimates of over 80% for standard products and over 90% for specialty products.
