Rain Forces Postponement of 2 CPBL Games on June 9

(Central News Agency, reporter Xie Jingwen, Taipei, June 9) The Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL) postponed two regular-season games originally scheduled for today due to rain. The affected games were the Fubon Guardians vs. Wei Chuan Dragons at Xinzhuang Baseball Stadium, and the CTBC Brothers vs. TSG Hawks at Taichung Intercontinental Baseball Stadium. The first game has been rescheduled for June 25, and the second for June 26, both at their original venues.

In the current first-half standings, the Wei Chuan Dragons lead the league with a record of 32 wins and 16 losses. They hold a 5.5-game lead over the second-place TSG Hawks (26 wins, 21 losses, 1 tie). The Fubon Guardians are in third place with a 25-21 record, trailing the Dragons by 6 games.
