(CNA, Taipei, June 9, by reporter Tseng Yi-ning) The 'Taiwan Forward Front,' jointly formed by the New Power Party, the Obasan Alliance for Political Participation, Green Party Taiwan, and the Taiwan Statebuilding Party, today announced another 11 individuals participating in this year's public office elections, competing for city/county councilor and local representative positions in Taipei City, New Taipei City, Yilan County, Keelung City, and other areas.
The Taiwan Forward Front held a press conference today to announce its fourth wave of public office candidates, nominating a total of 11 people. New Power Party Chairwoman Wang Wan-yu stated that all candidates have identified problems in their respective fields and, after assessment, realized their current roles lack the authority to solve them. Therefore, they hope to enter councils and representative bodies to address the issues they see in daily life and promote concrete change.
Wang Wan-yu said that the Taiwan Forward Front hopes local councils can be composed of political leaders who come from the front lines, bringing their first-hand experience to solve problems through budget allocation and legislative promotion.
The candidates announced today include New Power Party's Chen Chih-ying for Taipei City's Daan-Wenshan district councilor, Liao Chang-chun for Yunlin County's Douliou-Linnei-Cih-tong district councilor, Liu Chung-shu for Yilan County's Yilan City district councilor, Hsu Yu-lun for Zhubei City's 2nd electoral district citizen representative, and Peng Chih-hao for Zhudong Township's 4th electoral district town representative.

Also running as independents are Kuo Shu-cheng for New Taipei City's Xizhi-Jinshan-Wanli district councilor, Hsueh Chao-chi for Kaohsiung City's Zuoying-Nanzih 4th electoral district councilor, and Lin Chun-ching for Hsinchu County's Zhudong-Wufeng district councilor.
