Police and firefighters were dispatched to the scene after receiving a report and have notified relevant authorities. The cause of the incident is pending further investigation.

Police and firefighters received a report at 10:41 a.m. stating that a transformer box had toppled opposite the Zhongxing Branch of the Taipei City Hospital on Zhengzhou Road, Datong District, and immediately dispatched personnel to the scene.

Preliminary investigation indicates that the collapse of the sidewalk caused the transformer box to shift and topple. Police have secured the scene and notified Taiwan Power Company (Taipower) and other units to handle the situation. The actual cause of the incident is still to be clarified.
