Taiwan's Only Winner: EVA Air Wins Double Gold in In-Flight Wine Awards

(Central News Agency, reporter Yu Hsiao-han, Taipei, 10th) EVA Air announced today that it has won double gold medals for 'Best Business Class Sparkling Wine' and 'Innovative Beverage' at the 2026 Cellars in the Sky awards for in-flight wine service, making it the only airline from Taiwan to receive the honor.

The prestigious travel magazine Business Traveller held the 2026 Cellars in the Sky awards ceremony in London, UK, on June 8. Cellars in the Sky has been held annually by Business Traveller since 1985, with a panel of internationally renowned wine experts conducting blind tastings. It is one of the most authoritative in-flight wine service awards in the aviation industry.

EVA Air stated in a press release today that winning the double gold medals for 'Best Business Class Sparkling Wine' and 'Innovative Beverage' makes it the only airline from Taiwan to receive the award.

EVA Air noted that it had previously won the 'Best Business Class Wine Cellar' gold award for two consecutive years in 2015 and 2016, and its business class champagne had also won 'Best Business Class Sparkling Wine' for ten consecutive years. In the newly added 'Innovative Beverage' category for 2026, EVA Air also secured the gold medal.
