(Central News Agency, reporter Zhang Jianzhong, Hsinchu, 10th) Wafer foundry TSMC's self-reported May revenue was NT$416.975 billion, setting a new all-time monthly revenue record. The company's Q2 operational targets are expected to be achieved smoothly, also creating a new quarterly revenue record.

TSMC's May revenue of NT$416.975 billion surpassed the previous monthly record of NT$415.191 billion set in March this year, representing a 1.5% increase month-over-month and a 30.1% increase year-over-year. TSMC's cumulative revenue for the first five months reached NT$1.9618 trillion, a 30% increase compared to the same period last year.

TSMC expects that strong demand for its leading-edge process technologies in Q2 will drive quarterly revenue to between US$39 billion and US$40.2 billion, a 10% increase quarter-over-quarter and a 32% increase year-over-year. This forecast is based on an assumed average exchange rate of NT$31.7 to US$1 for Q2.

With combined revenue for April and May reaching NT$827.7 billion, analysts expect TSMC to smoothly achieve its Q2 operational targets, with quarterly revenue exceeding NT$1.23 trillion, setting a new historical high.

Benefiting from strong demand related to artificial intelligence, which has significantly increased computing needs and supported robust demand for leading-edge chips, TSMC expects its US dollar revenue in 2026 to grow by more than 30%. (Editor: Lin Shuyuan) 1150610
