(Central News Agency, Taipei, June 10, Reporter Chung Jung-feng) Hotai Motor announced its May self-consolidated revenue of NT$27.815 billion this afternoon, up 13.34% compared to the same period in 2025, setting a record high for the month. Cumulative self-consolidated revenue for the first five months reached NT$128.596 billion, a year-on-year increase of 7.31%, also a record high for the period.

Hotai Motor explained that although the May auto market was affected by the issue of import car tariffs, leading to a wait-and-see atmosphere, sales of its distributed models, the Toyota RAV4 and Corolla Cross, remained stable. The launch of the all-new Lexus ES300h also provided a boost. Additionally, the five Japanese Hino dealer subsidiaries contributed approximately NT$3.01 billion in revenue for May, accounting for 10.8% of the group's total revenue.

Looking ahead to June, Hotai Motor estimates that the combined new car registrations for the Toyota and Lexus brands will be around 14,400 units, representing a 36% market share.

According to statistics, the combined registrations for Toyota and Lexus under Hotai Motor in May totaled 12,409 units, with a market share of 37.5%, breaking the brand's historical record for market share in May. Toyota alone registered 9,909 units in May, holding a 30% market share and firmly maintaining its leading position. For the first five months of this year, the combined market share of Toyota and Lexus was 38.1%, the second-highest on record for this period. (Editor: Lin Shu-yuan) 1150610
