Choi Siwon to Star in New Drama with Lei Jia-rui, Filming in Taiwan from July

Choi Siwon, a member of the legendary K-pop group Super Junior, has been cast as the male lead, partnering with rising starlet Lei Jia-rui. The drama will unfold a thrilling and tragic love story that transcends time and moral boundaries. Filming is set to begin in July.

Regarding the drama "If We Had Never Met" starring Choi Siwon and Lei Jia-rui, the production team stated in a press release that this project will promote the international market layout of Chinese-language content through Taiwan-Korea cultural exchanges. This is not Choi Siwon's first time filming in Taiwan. In 2011, he came to Taiwan to star as the male lead in an idol drama adapted from a famous webtoon. With his excellent Chinese language skills, he stayed in Taiwan for over two months to film, fully immersing himself in the local culture. After many years, he is returning to the Chinese-language film and television industry and will once again stay in Taiwan for an extended period to film.

As for the female lead, Lei Jia-rui rose to fame overnight with the drama "The Defender of the Eight-Foot Gate." She recently expanded into Korea, appearing in a series for an international streaming platform. This will be the first collaboration between the two actors.
