Trump told reporters in the Oval Office that Iran shot down a US Apache helicopter in the Strait of Hormuz.

He stated: 'We are going to attack them, very violently attack them, resume bombing. We attacked them violently yesterday. Today we will hit them again.'

Furthermore, when mentioning negotiations with Iran, Trump said: 'We want a meaningful agreement, we want an agreement that works.'
