Oriental Wind Power, a leading provider of offshore energy and AI submarine cable infrastructure services in Asia, today announced its May consolidated revenue reached a record high of NT$1.479 billion, up 15% month-over-month and 38% year-over-year. Cumulative revenue for the first five months grew by 48% year-over-year.
The company stated that thanks to marine engineering entering its peak construction phase, the full deployment of its fleet, and the commissioning of its converted cable-laying vessel, both vessel utilization and the operational mix have been continuously optimized. The AI communication submarine cable project has entered its main recognition phase and is expected to be completed in the third quarter, further strengthening operational momentum.
Looking ahead, Oriental Wind Power explained it will continue to focus on the dual pillars of offshore energy and AI communication submarine cables, expecting new business revenue to account for 40% of the total by 2030. Among these, natural gas-related business will become the main growth driver for the next five years. Oriental Wind Power plans to partner with DeepOcean by the end of this year to expand into the European natural gas market and simultaneously explore offshore energy opportunities in Southeast Asia.
Oriental Wind Power pointed out that its service scope spans offshore wind farm construction, operations and maintenance, natural gas energy development, and AI communication submarine cable engineering. The company will continue to expand into overseas markets, deepen its global offshore energy infrastructure layout, and actively seize the long-term growth opportunities brought by the expansion of data centers and submarine communication networks driven by AI.
