(Central News Agency reporter Yeh Su-ping, Taipei, June 11) The term of the 6th Control Yuan members will expire on July 31 this year. The Presidential Office issued a notice this morning announcing that the convener of the Nomination Review Panel, Vice President Hsiao Bi-khim, will preside over the "Press Conference Introducing the Nominees for the 7th Term President, Vice President, and Members of the Control Yuan" at 10 AM, introducing each nominee, followed by a speech from the nominee for president.
According to the Additional Articles of the Constitution, the Control Yuan shall have 29 members, with one serving as president and one as vice president, for a term of six years. They are nominated by the president and appointed with the consent of the Legislative Yuan.
The term of the 6th Control Yuan members expires on July 31, 2026. By regulation, new Control Yuan members shall assume office on August 1, 2026. (Editor: Pan Yi-ching) June 11, 2026
