This was primarily driven by the continued expansion of diverse consumption scenarios and consumer demand during the Mother's Day period, leading to steady growth in overall transaction performance for May.
LINE Pay's cumulative revenue for the first five months of this year reached NT$3.502 billion, a 15.1% year-on-year increase, with upward momentum continuing.
In a press release, LINE Pay explained that observing May's transaction performance, the e-commerce, entertainment, transportation, and tourism industries all showed impressive growth, with transaction volumes increasing by over 20% compared to the same period last year.
LINE Pay pointed out that May coincided with the Mother's Day period, which boosted demand for festive dining, gift-giving, and family consumption. Additionally, the active stock market increased willingness for high-ticket spending. Transaction volumes in consumption scenarios such as department stores, restaurants, and apparel all grew significantly compared to April. Transaction volumes at small and medium-sized physical stores in commercial districts and night markets also increased compared to April.
Looking ahead, LINE Pay stated that it will continue to deepen its presence in diverse consumption scenarios and strengthen cooperation with partners across various industries to steadily enhance transaction scale and operational momentum. (Editor: Yang Kaixiang) 1150610
