(Central News Agency, Reporter Pan Zhiyi, Taipei, 11th) Wang Wei, Chairman of telecommunications broadband equipment maker Sercomm, said today that the booming development of artificial intelligence (AI) applications is driving a wave of broadband infrastructure upgrades, leading to robust demand in the network terminal equipment market. The company will continue to deepen its core networking and communication technologies and launch next-generation broadband products to increase its market share in the telecommunications sector.

Sercomm held its annual general meeting of shareholders today. Wang Wei pointed out that in addition to focusing on its core business, the company is actively promoting sustainable development strategies, focusing on the three pillars of environmental protection, social responsibility, and corporate governance (ESG). Sercomm has maintained a ranking in the top 6% to 20% in the corporate governance evaluation for listed companies, has continuously published sustainability reports since 2017 which have passed third-party certification, and recently received a Platinum rating from international assessment agency EcoVadis, placing it in the top 1% of assessed companies globally.

According to Sercomm's statistics, consolidated revenue for 2025 was NT$54 billion, net profit attributable to the parent company was NT$1.2 billion, and earnings per share (EPS) was NT$4.04. A cash dividend of NT$2.5 per share was distributed, completed on May 14.

Sercomm noted that the booming development of AI applications is driving a wave of broadband infrastructure upgrades, leading to robust demand in the network terminal equipment market. Customer demand is strong for Cable DOCSIS 4.0 equipment, 10G PON fiber optic equipment, 5G Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) equipment, and Wi-Fi 7 flagship products.

Sercomm stated that shipments of new products such as commercial networking equipment, AI IoT devices, and distributed central office products are gaining momentum, continuously contributing to revenue growth. Revenue for the period from January to May 2026 reached NT$30 billion, a 55% increase compared to the same period last year, setting a new record for the same period and demonstrating strong growth momentum. The company is optimistic about the overall economic outlook this year and expects operational growth driven by new-generation AI broadband applications, new products, and new markets.
