(Central News Agency reporter Tseng Jen-kai, Taipei, 12th) Taiwan's stock market experienced significant volatility this week, with Friday's TSE Index closing at 44,169.04 points, down 901.90 points (2%) from the previous week, ending a three-week winning streak. According to statistics from the Taiwan Stock Exchange, the total market capitalization of listed companies slightly decreased to NT$144.1068 trillion.

By industry indices, the largest gain was in the sports and leisure index, which rose 5.34%, while the biggest decline was in the electronics distribution index, falling 8.42%. The non-financial index dropped 944.33 points (approximately 2.32%); the non-electronics index rose 18.17 points (approximately 0.08%); and the non-financial electronics index fell 198.23 points (approximately 1.32%).

This week's total trading value for all listed stocks was NT$5.7195 trillion. The top three industries by trading value were semiconductors at NT$2.0742 trillion (36.27% of total trading value), electronic components at NT$1.4933 trillion (26.11%), and computers and peripherals at NT$479.443 billion (8.38%).

The weekly turnover rate for all listed stocks was 4.48%. The top three industries by turnover rate were electronic components at 15.87%, optoelectronics at 13.01%, and electronics distribution at 10.58%.

From the beginning of the year through today, a total of 105 trading days have passed, with the concentrated market's cumulative trading value reaching NT$103.6907 trillion.
