(Central News Agency, reporter Lin Chang-shun, Taipei, 12th) A well-known actress accused of sexual assault via social media in mid-August last year, alleging that a female actor was assaulted and secretly filmed by a television station employee, and that the victim had yet to receive an apology. On September 2 of the same year, the actress publicly disclosed the perpetrator's name, photo, and affiliated television station, also claiming that the perpetrator called himself 'boss' and was a parachuted appointee. This led to the revelation that the perpetrator was the son of SET TV's senior deputy general manager, Gong Mei-fu.

Gong Mei-fu issued a statement at the time, saying, 'I am deeply sorry for the waste of public resources and the public controversy caused by my son's incident recently. As a long-time employee of SET TV, I am deeply ashamed to have implicated the company. I have voluntarily resigned to take responsibility.'

The actress initially filed a complaint with the Shilin District Prosecutors Office. Due to lack of jurisdiction, the prosecutor reported the case to the Taiwan High Prosecutors Office, which transferred it to the Taipei District Prosecutors Office for investigation. The Taipei City Police Department's Women and Children Protection Brigade also reported the case to the Taipei District Prosecutors Office for investigation.

On September 15 last year, the Taipei District Prosecutors Office, under the direction of the Taipei City Police Department's Women and Children Protection Brigade and the Songshan Precinct, conducted searches at two locations, including Gong's residence, and summoned him for questioning. After questioning, the prosecutor ordered Gong to post bail of NT$1 million, imposed restrictions on his departure from the country and sea, and ordered him to comply with a crime victim protection order, prohibiting him from threatening, harassing, contacting, or stalking the victim for a period of two years.

During the investigation, the prosecutor questioned the actress and three witnesses. Based on evidence including the communication software chat records of the parties involved and documents provided by the Taipei City Fire Department, the prosecutor determined that Gong Yi-ting had committed the crime of forcible sexual intercourse under the Criminal Code and indicted him today.
