The Civil Aeronautics Administration (CAA) of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications announced today that ground operations at Tainan Airport were temporarily suspended starting at 8:51 a.m. due to thunderstorms overhead, potentially causing flight delays. Passengers and those picking up travelers are urged to stay informed about flight schedule changes.

The Central Weather Administration reported that today's frontal system is affecting western Taiwan, bringing showers and localized thunderstorms, with possible heavy rainfall in some areas. Brief showers are also expected in other regions, as well as in Penghu, Kinmen, and Matsu.

The CAA stated that due to thunderstorms, ground operations at Tainan Airport were halted from 8:51 a.m. Some flights may be delayed as a result. The CAA reminded passengers and airport visitors to monitor flight updates and contact their airlines for specific inquiries.

The CAA also noted that airports with flights to and from Tainan may experience ripple effects, including delayed departures and arrivals. Affected airports have been instructed to inform passengers promptly via display boards, scrolling message boards, and public announcements. Updated flight information is also available on official websites for public reference. (Edited by Chang Ming-kun) 1150612
