(Central News Agency reporter Zhang Shuling, Beijing, 17th) On the 14th, Taiwan's National Security Bureau (NSB) announced the establishment of a 'China Public Contact Window' as a channel for intelligence collection. Chen Bin-hua, spokesperson for the Taiwan Affairs Office of mainland China, strongly condemned the move today and stated that Beijing will resolutely counter it. He also warned that mainland Chinese citizens who provide information to Taiwan's intelligence agencies will be committing a criminal act.

During its regular press conference this morning, Chen Bin-hua addressed media questions regarding the NSB's establishment of the 'China Public Contact Window.' He accused the move of being an act of 'intelligence theft and subversive infiltration,' strongly condemned it, and emphasized that mainland China will take firm countermeasures.

Chen stated that according to relevant laws in mainland China, all political parties, people's organizations, enterprises, institutions, and other social organizations have the 'responsibility and obligation to safeguard national security.' Providing intelligence to Taiwan's intelligence agencies constitutes a crime, and the relevant authorities will pursue legal responsibility accordingly.

On the 14th, Taiwan's National Security Bureau announced that, in accordance with the 'National Intelligence Work Law' and drawing on practices from intelligence agencies in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Israel, it has completed the establishment of the 'China Public Contact Window.' This platform aims to facilitate Chinese citizens—both within China and overseas—to proactively contact and submit intelligence, thereby expanding diverse sources of information.

The NSB has also produced a promotional video depicting public officials in China living under an authoritarian regime, witnessing colleagues being investigated and removed from their positions without warning, one after another, creating an atmosphere of pervasive fear. The video encourages citizens inside and outside China to actively provide information and bravely drive change. (Editor: Qiu Guoqiang) 1150617
