Artificial intelligence (AI) has become the central battleground of global technological development. To strengthen Taiwan's industrial ecosystem, the Ministry of Digital Affairs is offering free computing resources. Today, it announced that applications for its 115th fiscal year AI computing services are now open until October 30. Information sessions will be held on June 18, 22, and 25, including case study presentations.

The Digital Industry Agency under the Ministry stated that through the AI computing platform, qualified AI startups and IT service providers will receive free AI computing resources to accelerate model training, inference validation, and application deployment. This initiative aims to transform innovative ideas into market competitiveness more quickly and promote the development of Taiwan's AI industry ecosystem.

Applications for the 115th fiscal year must be submitted online (https://aipower.dginfra.gov.tw/front/index). The service is completely free, with a rolling submission and batch review mechanism, allowing companies to apply according to their own R&D timelines without interruption. Applicants approved this year will receive a three-month computing usage period and may reapply as needed—offering more generous development time compared to last year.

Additionally, the platform now supports multiple new models, including Gemma 4 and Magistral. Users can opt for a no-code environment during model training, enabling them to use pre-configured large language models on the platform and upload their own data for training without writing any code.

The agency also plans technical briefings and不定期 technical training sessions to support selected applicants. They will also gain priority access to funding advisory services, consultation assessments, and fundraising matchmaking under the "Enhanced Investment in AI Startups Implementation Plan," helping promising AI ventures become immediate contributors to Taiwan's AI industry.

To help applicants fully understand the application process and platform operations, three information sessions will be held in June, each featuring application tutorials and live platform demonstrations. The in-person session on June 25 will invite past successful applicants and expert committee members to conduct in-depth sharing focused on "productization."

Under the "Digital Industry Cross-Domain Software Infrastructure and Digital Service Advancement Program," the agency has already supported 186 AI startups and IT service providers by the end of fiscal year 114, leading to the development of at least 266 AI models or innovative application services. The agency aims to continue providing AI computing power through policy support this year, accelerating AI technology adoption and injecting new momentum into Taiwan's digital economy.
