Heavy Rain Warning Issued for 10 Counties and Cities Including Taipei Amid Strong Afternoon Convection

(CNA, Taipei, June 18, Reporter: Chang Hsiung-feng) Taiwan's Central Weather Administration issued a heavy rain advisory this afternoon. With the vigorous development of afternoon convective cloud systems, short-term intense rainfall is likely. The greater Taipei area and mountainous regions north of central Taiwan are on alert for localized heavy rain.

The heavy rain areas include Keelung City, the North Coast, Taipei City, New Taipei City, and the mountainous areas of Taoyuan City, Hsinchu County, Miaoli County, Taichung City, Nantou County, Yunlin County, and Chiayi County.
