The Workforce Development Agency (WDA) of the Ministry of Labor held the 'Multi-Empowerment Grand Market' today at Taipei Main Station. The event featured 50 units supported by the 'Empowerment Employment Project,' including micro-enterprises and sheltered workshops from Northern Taiwan, Yilan, Hualien, and Kinmen. The market aimed to support regional revitalization and local employment through consumer action.
The exhibition was divided into five themed zones, such as 'Aboriginal Village' and 'Creative Workshop.' A featured product, the 'Foldable Cup,' gained attention for its portability. Made from 100% polypropylene (PP), the cup is BPA-free, heat-resistant up to 120°C, and collapses to a thickness of less than 1 cm. Weighing only 42 grams, it has already been adopted by major events like marathons and religious pilgrimages.
WDA Director-General Huang Ling-yu stated that the empowerment project focuses on building local brands and expanding market reach. Beyond creating jobs, the initiative enables youth and workers to pursue their dreams in their hometowns by providing a platform for diverse talents to flourish.
