The Ministry of Transportation's Eastern Region Maintenance Engineering Office today announced traffic forecasts for the upcoming three-day Dragon Boat Festival holiday. Southbound traffic along the Su-Hua Corridor is expected to surge starting at 6 a.m. on June 19, the first day of the holiday, and congestion is likely to continue until after 10 a.m.
For the return journey phase of the holiday, northbound traffic is projected to increase significantly from 10 a.m. on June 21, with heavy traffic conditions expected to last until after 3 p.m. The agency urges travelers to avoid peak congestion periods.
