(CNA, Reporters Tsao Ya-yen and Huang Hsu-sheng, New Taipei, 18th) Su Tsiao-hui, the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) candidate for New Taipei City Mayor, today announced an online platform for political donations, promising to use the funds for municipal promotion and other projects. The Kuomintang's (KMT) Lee Ssu-chuan visited Gongliao to seek the support of fishermen and proposed a coastal bicycle and pedestrian path to promote tourism on the North Coast.

In a press release today, Su Tsiao-hui stated that after announcing the opening of her political donation account for the New Taipei City mayoral election on social media last week, she received much support from netizens. However, some people found the bank transfer process inconvenient. Therefore, she launched an online political donation platform today, offering multiple donation channels such as credit cards, online ATMs, ATM transfers, convenience store codes, and barcode payments.

Su said the design of the online donation platform features a photo of her with three young spokespersons—Liu Fang-yu, Mahengheng Icyang, and Wu Szu-hsuan—paired with the slogan "Fighting for the Future with You," symbolizing the idea of the "new generation shouldering the new era."

Su emphasized that every donation, regardless of size, represents the trust of the citizens. She pledged to allocate all resources to promoting her municipal vision, office operations, and various campaign activities, and to propose more concrete policies in return for the voters' trust.

Additionally, Lee Ssu-chuan attended the inauguration of the Gongliao chapter of his supporters' association today, where he proposed a plan for a "Coastal Bicycle and Pedestrian Path." If elected, he plans to implement it in stages along the New Taipei coast in areas like Gongliao to attract more domestic and international tourists for cycling and hiking, thereby boosting tourism.

In his speech, Lee mentioned that he was born in a fishing village in Xiaoliuqiu and his father often went to sea, risking his life to support the family. Therefore, he can deeply understand the hardships of fishing families. He promised that if elected, the city government will fully support fishermen, continue to improve fishing port infrastructure, and enhance the promotion of local fishery products to create business opportunities.

Lee said the coastal path would not only benefit tourists but also encourage more people passing through Gongliao and coastal New Taipei to stop and appreciate the local beauty, creating consumption and helping young people find local employment. (Editor: Lin Shu-hui) 1150618
