(CNA Seoul, June 17, Foreign News) South Korean President Lee Jae-myung posted on the social media platform X today, stating that he may need to prepare for a round of golf with former U.S. President Donald Trump, as the two discussed related topics at the Group of Seven (G7) Summit, and he received a "pinky promise" from Trump.

According to Agence France-Presse, Lee said in his post that he had dinner with Trump during the summit held this week in Evian-Les-Bains, France, and the two "had in-depth discussions on peace on the Korean Peninsula and ROK-U.S. relations, making significant progress."

According to Lee's post, the two not only discussed official matters, but Trump also "talked about golf, saying he wanted to play a round with us, and my wife already made a pinky promise with him."

Lee added that at the following day's lunch, Trump gave him a signature black marker pen with his autograph. He attached a photo of the gift to his post, along with a photo of the two sitting next to each other and smiling at the camera.

Lee wrote that as they parted ways, Trump "again said we must play golf together. I thought he was just saying it casually, but it seems I need to start preparing." (for it)." (Compiled by Chang Cheng-chien) 1150618
