Taipei, June 21 (CNA) "Daughter of Taiwan" Lin Yu-ting faced Kazakhstan's rising star Karina Grafeyeva in the finals of the 60kg class at the Boxing World Cup China today. She was hit in the third round and counted out, ultimately losing by a 2-3 decision, but still secured a silver medal.
Lin Yu-ting had been suspended for 19 months due to issues with the International Boxing Association's (IBA) testing after winning a gold medal at the Paris Olympics. She only returned to competition in April of this year at the Asian Championships, where she won a bronze medal.
This World Cup China event was only Lin Yu-ting's second international competition since her return. She successfully advanced through the rounds and faced Kazakhstan's rising star Viktoriya Grafeyeva, a bronze medalist at last year's World Championships, in the gold medal match today. Although Lin Yu-ting was leading in the first two rounds, she unfortunately suffered a reversal in the third round. (Editor: Chang Ming-kun) 1150621
