(CNA Taipei, June 22) The Taiwan People's Party legislative caucus today again questioned Wei Ru Technology's applications for government subsidies, alleging a failure to disclose that its subsidiary akaSwap's CEO, Su Chiao-chun, is the sister of Democratic Progressive Party legislator Su Chiao-hui. They claim this violates conflict of interest laws and that Su Chiao-hui should apologize and withdraw from the New Taipei mayoral race. Su Chiao-hui's campaign office stated that Su Chiao-hui has never been involved in any bidding process, and Su Chiao-chun has not applied for subsidies from the Ministry of Culture or other agencies. If the TPP caucus believes there are illegal activities, they can report them to the court.

The Taiwan People's Party legislative caucus previously questioned that after Su Chiao-chun became CEO of akaSwap, a subsidiary of Wei Ru Technology, the company received over NT$5.94 million in subsidies from the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Economic Affairs, and others. This morning, they held a press conference titled "Su Chiao-hui Publicly Lied, Apologize and Withdraw Immediately!" to continue their questioning.

Lin Tzu-yu, a New Taipei City council candidate for the TPP, stated that Su Chiao-hui had previously responded that Wei Ru Technology was merely a network technology provider for akaSwap. However, upon investigation, it was found that Wei Ru Technology is the trademark owner of akaSwap, and akaSwap admitted in an interview with the Ministry of Economic Affairs' Small and Medium Enterprise Administration in January of this year that "Wei Ru Technology operates the akaSwap platform."

Lin Tzu-yu added that Wei Ru Technology's project completion report also stated, "Wei Ru Technology has operated the akaSwap platform in the past" and "the team used this as a way to enter the design of akaSwap's consumer virtual and physical integrated system services," proving that Wei Ru Technology applied for subsidies for akaSwap. However, Wei Ru Technology failed to fully disclose that Su Chiao-chun was the CEO of akaSwap when applying for the subsidies. This is deception, and Su Chiao-hui should apologize and withdraw from the election.

Chen Yi-chun, a New Taipei City council candidate for the TPP, pointed out that the report provided by the Small and Medium Enterprise Administration in response to the caucus's request for information was heavily redacted, with even other companies that jointly received subsidies with Wei Ru Technology being completely obscured, which is unreasonable. Another document shows that "Chuang Zao Zhi Neng Technology Co., Ltd.," which received subsidies along with Wei Ru Technology, is 100% owned by Sanli TV and was previously involved in the "Ace Exchange" fraud and money laundering case.

TPP legislator Chen Chao-tsu stated that Su Chiao-hui's claim that "this is a false report, and Wei Ru Technology is merely a network technology provider for akaSwap" is a complete lie. She said that Su Chiao-hui, on one hand, reviews budgets, and on the other hand, her family illegally receives subsidies. Her actions are illegal and she is openly lying, making her unqualified to continue her candidacy, let alone lead New Taipei City. Su Chiao-hui should apologize immediately and "know when to step down."

In response, Ma Heng-heng Yi-chiang, spokesperson for Su Chiao-hui's campaign office, replied that Su Chiao-hui's sister, Su Chiao-chun, is not an employee of Wei Ru Technology. Not only has Su Chiao-hui never been involved in any bidding process, but Su Chiao-chun has also not applied for any subsidies from the Ministry of Culture or Black Tide. If they truly believe there are illegal activities, they can report them to the court, rather than holding press conferences for a month without presenting any evidence of illegal activities.

Ma Heng-heng Yi-chiang pointed out that speaking of lying and needing to withdraw from elections, KMT New Taipei mayoral candidate Li Chih-chiang claimed his mansion was pre-sale, but the developer stated in court, "We built it first and then sold it." Li Chih-chiang claimed his down payment came from dividends, but the declared stocks could not possibly yield over NT$9 million in dividends, and he has been repeatedly exposed for lying. "Does the TPP also want Li Chih-chiang to withdraw from the election?" (Edited by Wan Shu-chang) 06/22/115
