BEIJING, June 23 (CNA) Li Qiang, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Premier of the State Council, stated on the 22nd during his inspection tour in Dalian, Liaoning, that China must adhere to the direction of intelligence, green development, and integration, strengthen the rebuilding of industrial foundations, vigorously develop the high-end equipment manufacturing industry, and accelerate the construction of a modern industrial system.

According to Xinhua News Agency, Li Qiang conducted an inspection tour in Dalian, Liaoning on the 22nd. He first visited Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Company Limited to hear a report on the development of Dalian's shipbuilding industry.

Li Qiang stated that high-end shipbuilding manufacturing is characterized by high technology, high difficulty, and high added value, with a long industrial chain and significant ripple effects. He emphasized the need to strengthen the main role of enterprises in innovation, support collaborative research and development between complete set and component enterprises, and equipment and user enterprises, accelerate breakthroughs in key technological research, and cultivate technical backbones and industrial workers.

Li Qiang called for further enhancement of independent innovation capabilities. Li Qiang visited Harbin Electric Machinery Company Limited Dalian Nuclear Power Petrochemical Co., Ltd. to understand the research and development of equipment for nuclear power, petrochemicals, and other industries. He stressed the significant importance of advanced nuclear power and other high-end equipment for national energy, industrial, and technological security.

Li Qiang stated that it is crucial to strengthen the deep integration of scientific and technological innovation and industrial innovation, accelerate the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, enhance original design capabilities and precision manufacturing capabilities, promote the safe application of new-generation nuclear power technologies, and better serve green and low-carbon development.
